Folding steel security gates
The most popular are the Steel Folding Security Gates which provide security, ventilation and visibility for dock doors, lift-up doors, hallways and
entranceways. They are used by manufacturing and warehouse facilities, retail and distribution centers, education and
health care institutions and in homes and offices.
They fold easily back and out of the way when people or equipment need to pass, but provide a lockable barrier when
closed. These steel security gates are excellent for situations where compact, restricted access is a priority, but visibility and air
flow are desired as well. Secure your warehouse, your bay doors, your aisles, and other restricted areas with easy to
install folding gates. Every gate retracts to a fraction of its extended width, and will pivot up to 270 degrees to clear the
doorway. They are usually made to accept padlocks.
These steel security gates are usually constructed from heavy-duty steel U-type channel riveted back-to-back. Most are secured with drop pins and
feature steel ball bearing swivel casters for easy opening and closing. The webs are usually riveted to vertical rails and
rivets are secure behind, to prevent tampering. No welding should be required for installation. Gates should be supplied with mounting
brackets and bearing washers.
Portable steel security gates
Another system is portable gates used for hallways, cafeterias, temporary work areas and other institutional, commercial
and industrial uses. These two piece
gates are usually made in 6 ft. wide sections and stand about 6 1/2 ft. tall when folded. They will usually fit through standard height doors
and roll easily for storage. Additional 6-ft. sections can be added on for larger areas.

Portable Folding Gates
- Their portable folding gates are made from standard type channel 3/4" (14 gauge), riveted back-to-back with 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/8" side rails for extra strength. Portable Folding Gates lock together at the middle with use of a standard type padlock. They lock to the wall with locking bars provided.
